“Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve. Thoughts are things! And powerful things at that, when mixed with definiteness of purpose, and burning desire, can be translated into riches.” – Napoleon Hill
We are what we think … literally.
Our character is the total sum of all our thoughts. Who we are and who we become is designed and built by our thoughts. A thought is to the mind what a seed is to a garden. Every action we choose creates a result in direct proportion to our thinking. You reap exactly what you sow, good or bad, positive or negative.
You, and you alone, are the architect of your thoughts, environment, situation, and destiny.
James Allen said in As a Man Thinketh, ‘Many people are anxious to improve their results but are unwilling to improve themselves.’ Many of us are keen to improve our circumstances but are totally unwilling to better ourselves.
We desire more wealth, more happiness, more success, and more love. Yet, we fail to realise these things grow and develop in direct proportion to our personal development and achievement.
Positive thoughts, feelings, and actions will never produce bad results; similarly, negative thoughts, feelings, and actions can never produce good results.
Our attitude and what we achieve in life depends exclusively on what we think. Your external world will always be a mirror or a direct reflection of your inner world.
It was the legendary Earl Nightingale who said, ‘You become what you think about most of the time, and you will continuously attract into your life exactly that.’
Once you link skilful thought to your primary definite purpose, you then possess your own personal mental GPS to guide you to success.
Thought without purpose is like trying to find your destination without a roadmap or road signs. Any route will do as you aimlessly drive around life, open to the influence of any external individual or circumstance that presents itself. No purpose = no results.
Positive thinking on its own is not enough. Your thoughts fuel your mind and body and give you focus and direction. Still, then you must follow positive thinking with decisive positive action. You must learn to condition your mind by disciplining your thoughts and focus on a great purpose.
Thought, aligned with feeling, becomes creative power.
This feeling of creative power produces action, and that action, in turn, leads to positive results and achievement.
